Invisalign – the clear choice

This is an almost invisible and extremely comfortable way of straightening spaced, crowded or protruding teeth and has revolutionised orthodontic treatment for adults and older teenagers. With Invisalign®, there are no unsightly wires or brackets, no difficulty in eating or with cleaning the teeth but most importantly, no-one will see that you are even having the treatment.

You can remove Invisalign® so you can eat and drink what you like and studies have shown that it can be better for your dental hygiene* during treatment as well! How does it work ?
Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, invisalign® uses your dentist’s instructions to create a series of custom made removable mouth trays (aligners). These aligners apply a controlled amount of force to your teeth, causing them to move. Each aligner is slightly different, moving your teeth gradually into the desired position.
How long will invisalign® take ?
Invisalign® only works while you wear the aligners. We recommend they are worn full time day and night (min 22–24 hours).
Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks, (before moving onto the next in the series), moving your teeth millimetre by millimetre, week by week, until you reach your desired result.
Treatment length will vary depending on your case, but the average invisalign® treatment is nine to eighteen months.
During treatment you should visit us periodically at Toothpassion, until it is determined that your treatment is complete.
Once active treatment is complete, there may be some fine tuning to create that perfect smile.
How many appointments will I need?
You will need an initial consultation with our Invisalign® dentist, Dr Rosenstone, to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for treatment.
During this consultation Dr Rosenstone can give you an Indication of an achievable final result, the length, and cost of your treatment.
Impressions, photographs, and x-rays of your teeth will be taken and sent to invisalign®, to construct the 3-D image of how your teeth will look at each stage, from the beginning, to the end of treatment.
The treatment software allows you to see a model of the proposed treatment plan, and discuss what is most important to you before you start.
With invisalign® you decide your treatment!
Once you and Dr Rosenstone are happy with, and have agreed on the achievable result, you will receive your aligners within 2 weeks. Dr Rosenstone will then create an appointment schedule which will enable him to see you every 6 weeks to monitor the progress of the treatment, with additional visits to carry out IPR and adjustments as appropriate.
